We provide all types of property maintenance services throughout Gloucestershire and the surrounding area, including Bristol.

Professionals at work

We specialise in external maintenance for all sorts of properties, but we are happy to take on all types of work.

Jobs we have undertaken in the past include roofing, general lead work and repairs, basic carpentry, small render repairs, brick and stone wall repointing, garden wall and step building and repairs, patios, decking, fencing, house painting, guttering, fascias, barge board and soffit work, window glass replacement, and much more.

Our main services include:

Painting & Decorating (interior & exterior)

From a single feature wall to a complete renovation, we treat every project with equal care and attention to detail. For older residential properties or those in need of refreshing, the improvement in appearance by professional decoration can often be dramatic and will usually increase the value of the property too.

We often work in partnership with reputable local building companies on major property renovations, so if you are looking for a full home refurbishment, we are able to work from plans or a viewing to provide an accurate quote.

Due to our unpredictable, and often unforgiving, weather we are unable to carry out exterior decorating work from October to March. The prime time for exterior decorating is April to September, and even this can incur setbacks with extended drying time and being unable to apply the paint.

This is a relatively short window for our clients to book in, so we always advice our clients to contact us as early as possible to avoid enduring another winter.

Without decorating, properties can suffer more damage and decorating costs can become higher.

Garage Conversions

You have probably already decided that by undertaking a garage conversion you can gain a considerable amount of new living, entertaining or home study space.

However, what’s important to you, is finding the right company to undertake your important garage conversion project.

In our experience about 70% of garage conversions require planning permission / change of consent, so you should always check with the local council to verify this. Don't let a builder tell you that planning permission isn't needed and simply accept this. If planning is required and you have started work, or even completed the works, the local authority holds the property owner responsible – not the builder.

On average a single garage takes around 10 days and a double garage takes about 15 days to fully complete. However, one of the most popular garage conversions is converting one half of a double garage, leaving you with a new room and a single garage.

Repointing

Repointing is the process of taking out and replacing the mortar ('pointing') from the face of a masonry joint.

Done properly, this helps exclude the weather and retard deterioration of the wall.

Over time, weathering and decay cause voids in the joints between masonry units, usually in bricks, allowing the undesirable entrance of water.

In a brick wall the brick must always be considered permanent and the mortar sacrificial. There should therefore be cycles of repointing at no less than 50 year intervals where the brick remains the permanent feature and the mortar is the element that is replaced.

By getting the repointing done in your home you will be really be able to feel the difference, especially in temperature. It helps seal up your brickwork and stop the heat loss which can lead to increased energy bills – something we are all increasingly conscious of, especially nowadays.

We are experts at repointing, and have many years of experience in doing this critical work. Without it, both you and your property will soon start to suffer.

House Repairs

House repairs are essential for any problems that put the health, safety or security of you or anyone else living in the property at risk. Repairs may also be needed to defects that are affecting the structure of the building.

Fascias.

Rubbish Recycling

With years of experience under our belt, we can ensure that your rubbish clearance and recycling will be carried out quickly and efficiently.

We specialise in regular domestic rubbish, but we can also take care of construction rubbish clearance as well.

We can recycle, separate and remove rubbish hassle-free, a cost-effective way of clearing out and removing your waste.

We also have some commercial customers and local businesses that rely on our services.

Every job is different but a typical request might be the clearing the over flowing rubbish from a local business site, which can often happen when their current bins are not big enough to take all the rubbish, so we will take away the surplus.

We also help businesses remove their unwanted desks and filing cabinets, which we will take to local voluntary organisations and charities who can then put them to good use.

Garden Clearance & Maintenance

We can cater to all aspects of garden clearance and grounds maintenance for private gardens right through to industrial estates, housing society properties, councils and property developers.

We also specialise in residential and commercial gutter cleaning, and the unblocking of downpipes throughout Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.

In addition, we have experience in planting a wide range of trees, plants, shrubs and bushes. Our garden experts can also visit the site and offer advice where needed.

Garden clearance involves literally clearing out the garden. Whatever needs clearing can be taken away, although we occasionally have to charge extra for hazardous or oversize items.
Sometimes it’s as simple as taking away a big old pile of stuff in a corner that just never seems to be properly cleared. Or a shed that’s full of stuff you no longer need but can’t move.
Here is a list of typical garden rubbish that we will collect, remove and dispose of for you:
Garden refuse - loose branches, leaves, shrubs, twigs, soil, potted plants, cut grass, old pots, lawn mowers, dismantled sheds & greenhouses
Wood - plywood, gates, fencing, firewood, lumber
Furniture - garden furniture, sofas, sofa-beds, beds, armchairs, filing cabinets
General waste - paper, boxes, books, kitchenware, tools, clothes, bric-a-brac
Appliances - washer dryers, computers, stereos, printers, photocopiers, flat screen TV/monitors, boilers, cookers
Builder’s waste - plaster, drywall, broken patios, pallets, crates, glass, concrete, tiles, asphalt, carpet, wood, flooring and general rubbish
We're also happy to provide the following services:
Leaf blowing – using a leaf blower to clear leaves from lawns and paths
Leaf clearing – removing leaves from the garden and disposing of them
Gutter clearing – removing leaves from your roof, twigs, cuttings, weeds from the gutters
Gutter cleaning – flushing out the gutters to clear them of rotted waste and gunk
Rubbish removal – removing bags or piles of rubbish
Waste clearance – removing natural waste from the garden (weeds, clippings, grass, soil) and building waste
Having a nice garden makes for a happier household and a more valuable home.

Garden clearance is about making your garden look good as well as making it safe for your family and the world for years to come.

You don’t want built-up rubbish attracting rodents and other animals, making your garden unsanitary and unsafe.
